Product Notes

Harry Guardino, Shirley Eaton and Robert Culp star in this thrilling wildlife adventure shot entirely on the African veld. Hiring big-game hunter Alec Burnett (Guardino) to track down a herd of white rhinos, zoologist Dr. Jim Hanlon (Culp) intends to capture a pair so he can save the species from extinction. Unaware Burnett is a professional poacher, Hanlon soon discovers the hunter has stolen his equipment so he can catch the rare animals and sell them to a black marketeer. Enlisting the aid of a district nurse (Eaton) who knows where Burnett may be, Hanlon sets out to find the hunter and stop him from making the sale. The first Hollywood film to be scored by Lalo Schifrin (Mission: Impossible), Rhino! Was directed by Ivan Tors, the celebrated animal-rights activist and TV producer whose series include Sea Hunt, Daktari and Flipper.
